I'll probably pick up the rest of it too. And I'll blame the good folks at Ace Records for steering me wrong on the spelling (if I were an expert, I'd be referencing first pressing of single number blah-blah-blah instead of crediting the Brits!), which is now fixed on my site. Thanks for setting me straight on that one. But you're wrong about my expectations -- I had no reason to think the single would be anything less than great. Mr. Expert on Wanda Jackson Music. I don't buy the fact that you wanted to like the single before you listened to it, it sounds like you wanted to dislike it before you heard a single note played. What did you expect from a song like "You Know I'm No Good"? How could you possibly re-arrange that song? Make it different? Wanda does a totally different job on it than Amy... and musically speaking it's quite different if you listen to both of them next to each other. Same beat...yes... but Amy's didn't feature the New Orleans/Big Band ending that Wanda's cut has... nor great steel guitar on the whole track... etc. Oh well.
